Leopard Business Solutions prides itself in developing applications that are good value for money and fit for purpose. The world of software development has grown into something that is unbelievably complex with so many choices. Each project can be handled using a variety of tools, and often a combination of those tools. We plan to make it easier for you, easy to decide, easy to understand what will be implemented and easy to ensure effective ongoing support.
What tools do we use?
We develop using tools that we believe will be around for a long time and that have a reasonable pool of developers and support skills at affordable rates.

If you read on you will see what we mean.
We have considerable knowledge of multiple development platforms but have chosen to focus on the following:
- Microsoft tools such as ASP.NET, C#, VBA
- Apples development platform for Macs and iPhones, Cocoa
We believe that both of the platforms mentioned above will be around for a long, long time. Both are very popular offering a large pool of skills.
What kind of apps do we handle?
Our preference is to develop web applications, yet there are times where traditional locally installed executable applications are appropriate. When we develop web applications we are able to advise on and install the relevant server infrastructure to host the solutions securely. It’s common for a solution to require some web-based functionality and some mobile functionality (e.g. iPhones).
What about data?
Most of the apps that we develop involve data. Although data can be stored in a variety of database engines, our preference is to use Microsoft SQL Server. It’s fast, secure and extremely robust.
Developing tools in the Microsoft Office family
You will have noticed that we offer data integrity services. We have found that developing applications using Microsoft Excel offers some excellent data integrity tools. We’ve developed a number of applications that read data from and write it back to SQL server using Excel and Access. This ensures that the folk handling the data integrity (whether the service is provided by us or by the customer) use an application that they are familiar with and yet packs a real punch (in terms of functionality). In such cases we use VBA, the programming language used in most Microsoft Office programs. We’re very good at VBA.
